We need to stretch, stretch, stretch... We are getting older, have had babies, chasing toddlers (Whilst Carrying a Baby) Yes, LOL...
I realize that holding something for 45 seconds can be intimidating..try holding ice chips in the palm of your hand and count!!
It is so important though, so remember to stretch before, during and after all moderate exercise.
This goes for walking distances, bike riding, swimming, tennis & horseback riding =)

Destiny Equestrian is excited to introduce the newest project for 2011...'Manely Therapy' will be geared towards individuals, both Horse & Human.
Horses, as well as dogs have a keen sense of understanding when it comes to feelings. This is why I will work diligently to help create a bond between Human & Horse to help break through the barrier of trust and communication. Unconditional Love can go a long way.

We are now proud to offer 'Equine Acupuncture' and 'Equine Massage Therapy', in hopes of rehabilitation and possible placement either with new homes or to add to our 'Destiny Team'.
If you or your child feel like they need a new outlook and want some relaxing time in a 'Country Setting' ~ Close to the City, this is the place for you!
Don't worry...we didn't forget our Human Friends...Yes, there is Acupuncture & Massage Therapy available to you as well.
On-Site, so you can spend a few hours or the ENTIRE DAY Relaxing and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere!

A new - yet 'Old' way of doing things... Barter and Trade... Help those in need, Share in the Wealth, these are all age old methods that made our world go round....Somewhere along the lines, it turned to a Monetary System.... This makes people Happy, Mad, Anxious. Nervous and Stressed.. Now how many of us have enough $$$ that it is "Our Stress Saver"???

Well I am here to make some of your 'Wishes Come True" as most of us only 'Dream' of Winning the Lottery... and Yes, you have to play...It's a gamble... But I have one 'Sure Thing', actually '3'...My Passion has been Horses for more than half my life. I would do anything just to be around them. Didn't have much $$$ to buy my own.
So, I started out with Lessons, went to Part-Boarding, Leasing and then bought out my 1st Horse... I also trained and exercised to keep them in my life. Volunteered at C.A.R.D in Toronto to help my Community with Horses & Humans. I finally decided it was 'MY DESTINY" to be with Horses =)

Our Proud Parents ~ Shiloh & Scar have had their 1st Litter.
Our 8 Beautiful 'German Labs' are strong & healthy. We couldn't have asked for better Parents.
They Arrived, starting at 8:30am Thursday January 21st 2010
We welcomed 5 Boys & 3 Girls...
Mommy is a CHAMP!!!
She is fine with her mate in the room and our 3 year old is helping with the daily chores and giving them all an extra bit of TLC
She is content in her 'Huge' Whelping Box (Designed by David Ritch)
We already have several names on our 'WaitList'

I want to express how great it has been to have Lucy J. aboard Riding my Ella Bella!!

Lucy is an intermediate rider and is looking to purchase her own horse and compete in the 'Jumper Ring'... One day we hope to see her at the Summer Games =)

She has also worked very hard with Rebecca and the Destiny Horses by bringing in the wonderful insight of 'Parelli'

She did very well at the Foxhunter Schooling Show, competing in different rings with both Ella & Lady. Pinned in EVERY CLASS, way to go girl!!!

Lucy, you have shown great compassion, patience & determination and you should be as Proud of Yourself as I am.

Katherine ~ is a Novice Adult. She has previous Riding Experience and is coming to us to get back what she misses the most. Enjoying a relaxing ride on a beautiful horse and letting all the day to day hustle & bustle of working in Downtown Toronto just 'Melt Away' when she is up among our Beautiful Friends in the Peace of the Country. Welcome Katherine!!!

Lucy ~ has just finished school and is so excited to be Ridng with us... SHe has absolutely fallen in love with our 'Ella Bella' and we are so excited that the two of them are getting along so well! Good job Girl!

Kitty ~ Is off from University this summer and has also come aboard to ride and train with Rebecca & the horses... You have a kind heart Miss Kitty and you are coming along so well, be proud of yourself...'Cause I am so very proud of what you have accomplished with the horses so far! Keep up the hard work, it will pay off =)

Laryssa ~ Wow, word of mouth is the greatest... Our Friend Mark & Miranda have brought you to us... another wonderful story... We are glad to have you aboard Laryssa and hope to see you at the show on both of the girls!!!

Miranda ~ You little one came to us because of your pure 'Love of Horses'... Miss Miranda has Spinal Issues and is unable to ride at this time. However, her & her Father, Mark are always up when they can, giving the horses a treat & extra special groom... Keep up the great work girl and we hope to see you enjoying the horses all summer long! You are a very special person and the horses are very lucky to have you and your family share all the warmth & kindness that you do. God Bless!!!

Just wanted to take a moment to put some stuff on the blog site.... It has been a while but life has been good & busy.
I am going to try and start up a monthly newsletter.
I have always wanted 'Destiny Equestrian' to have subscribers and have a chance to put exciting and important info out to all our Friends & Family.
We have had some great new people join our lives.
I would like to be able to do 'Rider Profiles' as well.
We are preparing for our 1st Open Schooling show of this season.
And... To top it off this Summer Destiny Equestrian will be Celebrating it's 4th Year in the Industry.
We are delighted to be operating out of 'Foxhunter Equestrian' in Stouffville, ON....
Alan & Margret Plewis are our wonderful new Hosts and we are Enjoying their Amazing, Relaxed, Fun & Friendly Atmosphere.
We are very excited to be working along side these great Equestrians.

Julie began riding at the age of 4. She has competed in Hunter/Jumper & Three Day Eventing, as well as dedicating herself to rescuing & re-training many animals that had been "given up on"

Today both Alla & I enjoyed a beautiful ride out in the big field ~
I must say how proud I am to see the remarkable achievement that has come out of a few short months!
Both her love of horses and determination to succeed, have taken her to wonderful heights.
Alla has completed both the Practical & Written tests for the 'Rider Level 1' & It is with 'Great Honour' that I present her with a 'Certificate of Completion'

As of November 2007, 'Destiny Equestrian' has a wonderful new addition to the Team.
Tabitha has been riding for many years and owned a Horse of her own as well. A beautiful Draft Cross. She had taken some time off to complete her 'Nursing Career' and therefore; sold her horse. She is now getting back into the saddle again and 'Loving It'!!!
It is an absolute pleasure to have you join us Tabitha and I am continuously amazed on how well you work with the Horses. You are a 'Natural' - Keep up the Great Work and again, Welcome =)

Alla, I have to say I am extremely impressed by your story....I am so glad that you have finally done something just for you. You are improving so much by the end of each lesson. It is clear how much love you have for these animlas and they all enjoy when you stick around to give them a nice 'Grooming' and 'Tidbit' to eat.

Just A Thought...

I just wanted to take an opportunity to put down a few of my thoughts so everyone who associates with 'Destiny Equestrian' can gain some insight!

First of all, I want to pay a 'SPECIAL THANKS' to a very WONDERFUL Lady. Her name is Melissa Byce. She has been with 'Destiny Equestrian' & Myself since Fall of 2005.

Melissa you have been a 'Godsend' and words just wouldn't justify how much your Friendship, Compassion & Support have meant to me. You are one in a million! I feel so privileged (I know 'Ella' does too!) to have you in our lives.
Miss Byce has stuck by us through Thick & Thin and has gained so much knowledge & I believe understanding of how this 'Horse World' works - BOTH GOOD & BAD.
It is unfortunate but there is a lot of bad. I know that we will be lifetime friends and will definitely continue to PROVE that We are the GOOD ONES in this Crazy World.
The Love & Commitment you have given to all of the 'Destiny Horses', both Past & Present; proves you are Truly a 'Kind Soul'. We Love You :)

Special thanks to all the Friends & Family that came out for our 'Family & Friends' Weekends for April & May. We had lots of fun, the little ones were so well behaved! Some of you inquired about our 'Riding Lessons' so I would like to extend the promotional offer of $160/month to ALL of you throughout the upcoming season! Reg. Price $225/month. This includes 4 X 1hr. Private Lessons. Theory & Practical will add approx. 30min to the beginning & end of the Ridden Lesson (2hrs in Total)!! ASTM Approved Helmets are Mandatory for all minors and recommended for Adults as well! Boots with at least 1/2" heel are also required. Trail Rides will also be available on a First Come, First Serve Basis. *Spaces are Limited, so please contact us asap to avoid any disappointment*

Family & Friends Riding Weekend

I am posting this note to inform you all of my upcoming Family & Friends Riding Weekend...This will be open to all my Family members with children 6months & UP, you are also welcome to include any of YOUR Friends with Kids as well!
My Friends are also invited and YOUR Friends too!.
I will be running it the last weekend in April (28th & 29th) & the first weekend in May (5th & 6th).
Saturdays timeslots will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m Sundays timeslots will be 11 a.m - 2 p.m.
** 20 min intervals ** - (So if you want 11:20 a.m, then put 11:20 a.m) **
Please RSVP with the preferred DAY & TIME - as well as number of KIDS (Ages too, pls). P.S. Don't forget to put the names of Parents and their Kids Names, that will be attending!

Happy Passover and Happy Easter to ALL who Celebrate. It's been a busy month so far and it's only the 3rd day, WOW!!! I apologize for taking this long to POST the WINNER of OUR Give-A-Way...My little Nephew also had his 3rd Birthday this weekend, so it's been FUN!!! The weather is gloomy now but we hope it will brighten up soon and we will see a lot more happy faces out at the barn enjoying some RIDING!

Michelle
has ridden before (Western), and would like to add English Pleasure to her experience. She is also a Part-Boarder of our Beautiful Mare 'Lady'...she can't wait to head out on the trail once the weather gets nice!
Laurie
has only been on a horse once before, and it was the nose-to-tail Trail Rides...she is enjoying working her way up the 'Beginner Evaluation Program'. She loves brushing the horses and is really eager to head out on the open fields!!
Kenneth
has never been around horses before, but he is an absolute animal Lover! Living in the city, he enjoys the escape from the hustle & bustle into the wonderful fresh air. He has ridden both of our wonderful Mares, and is excelling by leaps and bounds in his lessons. He will be ready to head out on the trail with Laurie in no time!!!

Both of These Mares are Extremely Talented & have Amazing Tempermants. We had a very successful "Pair Pleasure Riding" Session Last Winter/Spring and would like to bring it back again this season.
